Good Parts Ltd has grown and relocated!
Following the Christchurch earthquakes, and the purchase of stock from two remaining motorcycle dismantlers in Christchurch, we have moved out to a rural property near Rangiora in North Canterbury. Good Parts is still a one man operation, with a very supportive wife, two small mischievous dogs, and a couple of workshop cats to keep the mice at bay. We have certainly grown, but continue to remain friendly and helpful to all those looking for motorcycle parts. Much of the stock purchased from other dismantlers is from older models from the 70’s and 80’s. In some cases it may only be one or two parts from a particular model and too many to list in total, so let us know what your looking for and we may just have it in stock.
The business has been operating since 2007 and is now operating on a fulltime basis.
We ship pretty much anywhere, with parts having been supplied to customers in far away places such as Poland, Latvia and the Maldives.

Hi Phil. My business is mainly internet based with viewing of specific parts by appointment. My customers generally email me initially and I will then provide photos of parts if I have anything that may suit their requirements. If they then wish to view specific parts, I will get them out into my workshop for viewing at an agreed time. I am not set up for customers to browse so to speak, but also I only sell parts and do not sell complete or semi-complete bikes, so would not be able to help with regard to a project bike. Your best option is to keep an eye out for something suitable on Trademe. Cheers Simon

Hey team… Just picked up a 250 Suzuki intruder with a seized motor. Haven’t torn it apart yet but do you have a motor for one if I need it and what’s the price look like? Looking into options now whether it’s worth a rebuild or just replacing. Shipping would only be to wanaka area.

I don’t currently have a VL250 engine in stock, but I may be able to purchase a damaged 2015 VL250 and could supply the bare engine (without carb and starter) at $800 including shipping to Wanaka. I’m away at the moment so wouldn’t be able to supply the engine until after Easter. Hello. I was on the trade me wrecking bikes site on the weekend and you had a Suzuki GSX 400 Impulse listed. Its the 4 cylinder water cooled model. I have one that looks identical. Do you still have it and what parts are avalable still. Do you no what a bike like that in going condition would be wourth as i have not been able to find one for sale for a number of years. Hi Paul. I have dismantled a few of these, although many parts have sold. 10 years ago they were very easy to pick up and the motors were popular for of-froad buggies etc, but not so many about now. They do come up on Trademe occasionally, but haven’t seen any for a while now. I couldn’t put a price on one sorry, although they don’t really demand a high price. Hi looking for an inbox the fit on a 97 Honda CBR 1100 xx carb I have this motor and a small 4×4 Buggy and running foam pod filters at the moment It makes it a bit temperamental for tuning so I’ll would like to try original air cleaner box cheers Lyall

Sorry I cant help with an airbox for that model. The carbs wont run properly with pod filters, no matter how much you try and tune them. Once you find an original airbox it should solve the problems. Try GP Motorcycle Wreckers in Katikati or BikeBusters near Hamilton.
