I’m looking for a starter motor for a 250cc virago can you help will be back in NZ as of next Thursday but the bike is in Lao where I live and reliable parts supply is not good there unless you ride a scooter and bike mechanics arnt the best

I dont have any parts fro the Virago, but I do have a couple of parts engines for the SRV250 which looks to have the same starter. I believe the engines (bottom end at least) are much the same as the Virago. I can probably compare the SRV starter with one on a Virago at my local Yamaha dealer later on this week or early next week. Email me directly at goodpartsnz@gmail.com if you’d like me to check. G’day,
I’m after some replacement forks for my 92 Yamaha TDM 3VD. I’m happy to retro fit something if you don’t have any exact replacements. I understand late 90’s early 2000’s FZ6 or R6 forks may fit. Possibly TRX forks.
Mine are 41mm, brake caliper mounts are 100mm apart, 17mm axle.

Hi, I got some parts off you earlier in the year for a rare 1984 xj750rl. I finally have the bike complete and road worthy but it has developed a intermittent misfire at times and think I may have narrowed it down to the tci. The tci appears to be model specific but I wonder if you have any for this model as they may have been used on other 750’s the numbers on the tci are TID14-21. Are you able to help at all?? Hi Chris. I have one sidecover from an XJ650 Special in stock at $30 and fortunately its a RH one. Dont think I can help with a brake lever, but aftermarket ones should be available through a m/c accessory shop.

Hi Ian. I have a pair of forks in stock from an FZR250 3LN and while I would generally only sell a pair of forks, these are available individually. Unfortunately the chrome on the Rh leg is poor in places, although this is all above a point where the seals should reach and the worst area could be placed at the rear side when they are fitted so it wouldn’t be overly visible. There are some fine pits from a point approx 105mm above the top of the lower fork leg casing and this appears to be above where the seals will reach. The seals are dry but you may wish to replace the seal while the fork is off the bike. The RH fork is available at $60 due to the poor chrome. Hi mate. Looking for electrics for 750 seca engine. Just electrics for engine as I have this motor mounted on a gokart so don’t need any electrics apart from what it takes 2 make the motor run. So need need regulator, solanoid etc and any wiring in between. Could you reply and let me know if this is available please and cost.

Sorry dont think I have anything suitable in stock currently. Putting XS650 or 850 forks on the bike wont be an upgrade and not really worth doing unless you just want to get it on the road with something that looks close to original.. Cheers

Hi Bruce. I dismantled an accident damaged XV1100 several years ago and while I think I still have the forks, they were bent. From memory they were not creased and could therefore be straightened, but I would need to check them again before confirming.
